Our Mission

New Mindz Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides education, mentoring, life skills training and resources for at risk youth/adults and returning citizens. One of our premiere programs is the ‘Redeemed and Restored’ (R&R) Reentry Program for Returning Citizens. We also offer many other services and resources for recovering addicts, domestic violence survivors, children of incarcerated parents and all at-risk individuals!

Meet The Founders

Meet The Founders

Rev. Dr. Jonathan Queen and Rev. Lenia Queen have been married for over 18 years. They have 6 adult children and 9 grandchildren. They attend and serve at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, Maryland, where Dr. Jonathan is the Department Head Director of Children and Youth Ministries and Rev. Lenia is a Ministry Group Coordinator and Staff Minister.

They are authors, mentors, entrepreneurs, preachers, teachers, and role models in so many areas of life. They are graduates of Lancaster Bible College and Capitol Seminary. Rev. Queen holds a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Dr. Queen has a Master of Divinity degree and his Doctor of Ministry.

The Queens launched New Mindz Ministries, Inc. on October 30th, 2021, exactly 15 years from the day Jonathan was released from Federal Prison. Jonathan says: "Many of you know my origin story of being incarcerated 3 times within a 5 year period with my last sentence earning the label of “career criminal” and a sentence of 10 years in a federal prison. In my 20’s I was inmate CN-1501 and Inmate 09138-067! Today, I am Youth Pastor, Rev, Dr., Author, Leader, Mentor, Husband, Father and now Non-Profit Director! Today I am one of God’s miracles. I share that so you understand that when it comes to successful reentry into pro-social living, I am an expert by experience.

Rev. Lenia Queen not only created the blueprint for me to come home and be successful, but she has also taught others to do the same. She has a wealth of HR and organizational leadership experience and a heart for women and girls. She also has experienced the other side of incarceration walking alongside me while I completed my federal sentence. We both have a passion for seeing at-risk and marginalized, men, women, and youth become transformed, renewed, redeemed, and restored. "
